Dracocephalum parviflorum is a member of the Lamiaceae, or mint plant family. The flowers are arranged in a dense terminal cluster with bracts between the flowers. The inflorescence bracts are lightly toothed at the margins.
The species is a widespread native of open, moist places from the foothills to mid elevations. Often found east of the Cascades, though this specimen was found along the Alsea river bank in western Oregon.
